Agriculture and forestry are the #1 industries in rural Tennessee. In order to grow those industries and keep the forests healthy, a sustainable and well-trained workforce is required. The Tennessee Forest Worker Certification will teach the student foundational knowledge about Tennessee’s forests and the forest industry that is integral to keeping those forests healthy and productive. Upon completion of this certification program, the student will have learned about the variety of forest products industries, how to determine wood volume, how to harvest wood products, and how to grow and manage forests.
