Teacher Workforce Training
This is a 3-day workshop that uses the forest as a classroom to teach forestry, wildlife, and environmental education. Activities are led by professors, foresters, and industry professionals. The workshop is geared for, but not limited to, non-forestry, non-environmental, or non-wildlife educators. College students majoring in Forestry, Agriculture, or Education are welcome.

Join us to learn to identify trees and determine their age. Examine the aquatic life in a stream. Discover the “Woods Walk, Woods Talk” interpretive forest ecology program. Visit wood processing facilities. Become skilled in the nation's leading environmental education program, Project Learning Tree. You will receive the Project Learning Tree Activity Guide , PLT Green Jobs curriculum, and other freebies to help implement the hands-on activities you will learn in your classroom.
Relax, trade professional secrets, share experiences and have fun! Tennessee forests are a renewable and sustainable natural resource. You will leave with a wealth of teaching materials and knowledge about our forests to use in the classroom. This science-based, adventure-packed and fun-filled workshop is one you cannot afford to miss.
Certification
Participants will receive a certificate of course completion upon the completion of this workshop.
